We are soon having the deadline for proposal submission
This is the deadline for (P) - Proposal, so we can accept
any (I) - Informational presentations after that.
( am I correct, Secretariat?)
We got three applications for this coming NIR SIG which are
JPNIC Open Policy Meeting Update (I) Izumi Okutani JPNIC
TWNIC Open Policy Meeting Update (I) Chia-Nan Hsieh TWNIC
JPNIC Update (I) Toshi Hosaka JPNIC .
I remind you of (P) deadline, please never fail to submit
your application if you have. This is by rule and there is
no tolerance for any late submission.
I also encourage you to raise (I) presentations. We have
room to facilitate some other, and I think any of your
experience in your NIR business and policy practice are
worth sharing with other NIRs and with APNIC (even with
other RIRs!!) , it would be interesting to others.
For our case of JPNIC, Toshi's JPNIC update is to share our
experience and thoughts. Hope you like it.
I'm really looking foward to seeing you in Kuala Lumpur.

Dear colleagues
The recent announcement relating to the deadline for policy proposals for
APNIC 17 was sent early in error.
Under the terms of the APNIC policy development process, "a formal proposal
paper must be submitted to the SIG mailing list and to the SIG Chair four
weeks before the start of the OPM".
Therefore, the deadline for proposals is Monday 26 January 2004.
APNIC apologises sincerely for any inconvenience or confusion caused by the
earlier announcement.
