For the standard policy process, once it gets reaches consensus and gets
approved by the EC, it gets implemented pretty much right away.

Would it apply for this policy as well?

The reason I'm asking is that operational and other implications are
much larger than other regular policy proposals. I'd like to know if
what we are seeking here at APNIC27 is to reach consensus on "the
concept" and continue reviews (I don't know if this would be done as the
secretariat/by the forum but) on putting this into actual practice.

Another question is that is this to wait to be implemented after APNIC
pool runs out, or is this something quite independent?

My guess is that people's position towards the proposal may change
depending on this.
