  1. New version of the RIPE database - Andrei Robachevsky, RIPE NCC

    This presentation provided an overview of the status of the RIPE Whois Database including the development of and planned transition to version 3.

    Questions and discussion

    It was noted that a full publication of the Global IPv6 Summit will become available in mid-March at www.soi.wide.ad.jp

    It was noted that there has been communication with ARIN relating to the developments of this version.

  3. APNIC database privacy issues - Fabrina Hossain, APNIC
  4. [Presentation (ppt)]

    This presentation was made in response to a request from the previous meeting that APNIC provide an overview of relevant privacy issues relating to private information stored in the APNIC database, and provide comparisons with other RIR positions.

    Questions and discussion

    It was noted that the recommendations relating to registration of admin-c are in fact a part of existing policy.

    In response to a question, it was explained that the RIRs are not able to set rules for the way in which registered contacts respond to queries.
