APNIC Members Training Course

This training course contains selected segments of the APNIC Training program conducted in the Asia Pacific region. The objective of this training course is to provide a clear overview of current APNIC policies and also provide the audience with sufficient skills to effectively manage their Internet resources.

This training will be divided into two parts. The first session (09.00-10.30) will address a broader audience, providing an overview of APNIC and Address policy. The topics include:

  • Introduction to APNIC & the RIR structure
  • RIR goals & policy development
  • APNIC Policies
  • Policies, Procedures & Best Current Practices

The second session will have a more operational focus and provides APNIC members with information on how to request and manage their Internet resources. It also gives a short introduction to the APNIC Whois Database as well as an overview of reverse DNS delegation. The topics in this section include:

  • Requesting Internet resources
  • IP address management
  • APNIC Whois Database
  • Reverse DNS delegation
Intended audience

The course is aimed at APNIC members who have some experience in requesting Internet resources from APNIC. The participants should have a basic understanding of networking. It is strongly recommended that all APNIC members attend this APNIC training course.
