Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE), also known as 'spam', is currently the most common cause of Internet user complaints. It is also a potential threat to the effectiveness of email as a form of communication.

This tutorial will present a number of spam defence measures and technologies. Participants will discuss ways to reduce spam using filters, blacklists, and other anti-spam techniques. Setting up email policies to combat spam will also be discussed.

In addition, the tutorial includes a comparative study of anti-spam laws in the Asia Pacific region.
