With his extensive technical background lasting over 16 years, I believes that he can serve effectively as APNIC's EC member.

Due to his extensive network in the ISP community (as he has been an active member of NANOG for many years) and his involvement in other forums/communities, he can influence people.

Having moved to India after close to 20 yrs in US and consulting for an Australian company as it's Global Architect, he is in a good position to help APNIC to achieve it's goal.

As a member of EC, he would like to get involved in developing policies and procedures. So, is requesting to give him a chance to serve on the EC of APNIC.

Nominee statement:

I am a Network Engineering and Operations Manager with over 17 years of practical, hands on experience in Network Operations. Highly motivated, diligent and effective network and security professional with a track record of building customer driven organization. Background in highly available network design, process development, Data Center Operations, technical consulting, security analysis, vendor management and project management. Proficient in 24x7 Operations. Outcome focused, customer oriented professional with a proven track record. Developed and managed diverse teams. Strong leader and coach for the team with clear communication skills.

I have held several positions in the past including positions in US such as Manager of Technology planning and Architecture at Netflix, Manager of Network and Security at Lycos and many more during my distinguished career. I am currently consulting as Global Infrastructure Architect for Realestate.com.au, an online real estate company in Australia/NZ, Europe and Asia. As realestate's Global architect, I am responsible for it's global infrastructure architecture and strategy. I have also served as member of the program committee on NANOG between Oct 2005-Oct 2007. I am an active member of many other organizations such as Webmonster, a group of 40 top web companies in the world, Gigabit peering forum, Silicon Valley Indian Professional Association, Silicon Valley Info Systems and Security Association. I received my masters in Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, NY and MBA in Global Management from UOP San Jose, CA USA. I am currently stationed in Bangalore, India and travel all over the world as a result of my work and other community related activities.

Having moved to Asia after close to 20 yrs in US and consulting for an Australian company as it's Global Architect, I am in a good position to help APNIC to achieve it's goal. As a member of EC, I would like to get involved in developing policies and procedures and influence the community members for the benefit of the Internet community. So, I am requesting to give me a chance to serve on the EC of APNIC.
