APNIC participates at IPv6WorldAsia and Internet Week 2009

APNIC Director General, Paul Wilson, and IPv6 Program Manager, Miwa Fujii, have recently participated at IPv6WorldAsia and Internet Week Japan

APNIC was well represented this past week at both IPv6WorldAsia and Internet Week 2009.

At IPv6WorldAsia, Paul Wilson, Director General of APNIC presented on "Exploring the Future: Post IPv4 Exhaustion" and Miwa Fujii, APNIC's IPv6 Program Manager, presented on "Transforming the Internet: IPv4 to IPv6". The APNIC Training Team also delivered IPv6 technical training after the conference.

IPv6WorldAsia focused on the implementation, deployment, and operations of IPv6 in different environments, with the key message: "taking action".

Similar themes will occupy Internet Week 2009 in Tokyo, where Miwa Fujii will present today a "Re-introduction to IPv6".

Both events have attracted over 100 networking experts, indicating the strong interest the community has in IPv6 adoption. They also provided Asia Pacific community leaders forums for IPv6 outreach opportunities.
