Global IPv6 Summit in Korea 2009

The next Global IPv6 Summit will be held in Seoul, Korea, 9-10 July 2009. As the largest IPv6 conference, it seeks to promote the deployment of IPv6 and investment in research and development of IPv6 technologies.

With 85% of the free IPv4 address space already allocated and exhaustion projected to occur by 2011, IPv6 deployment is becoming an increasingly pressing issue for many businesses. The Global IPv6 Summit is the key conference for discussing these issues and generating interest in IPv6.

This year's theme is "Green ICT over IPv6", and there will be a number of distinguished speakers presenting ideas regarding 'Green' trends in conjunction with IPv6.

APNIC's IPv6 Program Manager, Miwa Fujii, will be delivering a presentation titled "Expanding the Internet: The IPv4 to IPv6 Transition", which will explain the current situation regarding Internet resources, the IPv6 services APNIC offers, and the practical steps available to stakeholders to plan for IPv6 deployment in their organizations.
