APNIC is participating in a global project to help provide security to the Domain Name System. Deploying a three-phase plan, APNIC has successfully tested its DNSSEC platform (phase 1), signed its zones (phase 2) and is now currently introducing Member DNSSEC data (phase 3).

Using MyAPNIC, APNIC's secure Member services website, Phase 3 will allow Members to enable DNSSEC protection to their reverse zones by registering Delegation Signer (DS) resource records to their parent zone data that will be stored in APNIC's name servers.

The Phase 3 addition to MyAPNIC's reverse delegation screen is an optional field that will allow Members to enter the DS record when they are ready to implement DNSSEC.

Service delivery of Phase 3 will be announced soon.
