APNIC will be participating at IGF 2010, which is being held in Vilnius, Lithuania from 14 to 17 September 2010.

APNIC will be participating at the 2010 Internet Governance Forum (IGF), which is being held in Vilnius, Lithuania from 14-17 September 2010.

Representing the interests of Members and the wider Asia Pacific community, APNIC will participate as a member of the Number Resource Organization (NRO).

APNIC and the NRO will work to highlight the important issues surrounding responsible stewardship and management of critical Internet resources and ensure the interests of RIR Members are communicated to the Internet Governance community.

On Site at IGF

APNIC community members are invited to participate by attending two NRO-hosted workshops, either on site or remotely.

1. ‘IPv6 Around the World’, takes place on Tuesday, 14 September and covers ways to ensure all stakeholders around the world have the information they need to be part of the IPv6 Internet.
2. ‘Enhancing Transparency in Internet Governance’ will take place on Wednesday, 15 September and will discuss the value of open communication among Internet governance stakeholders.

The NRO will also be part of the Critical Internet Resources main session, on Wednesday, 15 September.

Participate remotely at IGF 2010

Remote participants will be able to follow the meeting by watching video casts or listening to audio casts from the meeting rooms and reading real-time closed captioning.

To bring the IGF to the Asia Pacific region, APNIC is also supporting a number of IGF 2010 Remote Hubs where local organizations are broadcasting selected sessions.
