On 3 May 2011, APNIC submitted the regional DNSSEC DS (Delegation Signer) records to IANA, allowing DNSSEC validation to occur from the root zones down to APNIC's reverse DNS zones.
The DS submission was an important part of the preparations for the DNSSEC Phase 3 Roadmap implementation, which is due for completion later this year. This was also part of the KSK (Key Signing Key) rolling activity that commenced on 1 May as part of the APNIC operational settings for DNSSEC.
