ISIF Award winners recognized at 2011 Internet Governance Forum

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is an annual meeting on global Internet policy, in a multi-stakeholder environment. The theme of this year's IGF is, "Internet as a catalyst for change: access, development, freedoms, and innovation".

In line with this year's theme, an awards ceremony will be held to recognize the contributions of four Asia Pacific organizations that have used the Internet as a development tool within their communities. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 28 September 2011.

The Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF) Award 2011 is a celebration of the last three years of innovative ICT solutions that have contributed to social development in the Asia Pacific region.

ISIF program to return in 2012

ISIF is expanding in 2012 to form a global partnership with similar organizations in South America and Africa. The global alliance is currently seeking sponsors to be a part of the continuation and evolution of ISIF.
