APNIC@HostingCon2013

APNIC presented on IPv6 deployment to the cloud industry at the recent Hostingcon2013 Symposium.

APNIC participated recently at the HostingCon2013 Symposium on 21 October 2013 in Brisbane, Australia with a presentation entitled "IPv6 Deployment, Why and Why Not?" HostingCon is an industry conference and trade show for web hosting and cloud service providers. The cloud industry is a key industry segment that requires IPv6 deployment in a planned manner so that their networks remain secure and scalable.

This is the second symposium to be held in Australia since 2012 and attendees, many of whom are APNIC Members, were provided with updates on:

Many of these APNIC Members have already received IPv6 addresses from APNIC, but it was evident that while they are aware of the importance of IPv6 deployment, actual deployment is still relatively low.
