APNIC staff attended ARIN 33 in Chicago, USA from 13 - 16 April 2014. APNIC attends Regional Internet Registry meetings to stayinformed on policy discussions and operational developments in otherregions, to report to other communities on APNIC activities, to shareresearch and development results, and to meet with RIR staffto discuss operational matters and other projects.
APNIC activities included:
- Guangliang Pan attended the NRO Registration Services Managers (RSM) meeting, where all five RSMs share their experience and discuss initiatives to best serve their respective memberships and make service improvements
- APNIC staff attended the ARIN policy meeting, where 14 policy proposals were discussed, mostly around IPv4
- Guangliang also delivered APNIC's update on activities in the Asia Pacific, and there were questions from the audience about transfers between the ARIN and APNIC regions
- APNIC staff attended and participated in a discussion session on the IANA transition
